This year’s Drivers’ School weekend, April 20-22, 2007 will be held in conjunction with the first RMVR race weekend at LaJunta Raceways. There are two ways to participate in our Spring Drivers’ School:
- Competition Drivers’ School: For those seeking a full Competition License with the goal of becoming a regular RMVR racer with a vintage eligible race car, we offer our complete Competition Drivers’ School. In addition to the School weekend, participants will receive continued instructional support in subsequent race RMVR weekends, ultimately concluding in a full Competition License status. Download the regular Competition Drivers’ School application packet.
- Precision Driving School: For those who don’t currently have a vintage eligible race car but wish to gain the skills, the confidence and the ability to better control your street car, we also offer our Precision Driving School. Instruction extends only to the School weekend. A Certificate of Accomplishment (no RMVR Competition License) will be issued at the end of the weekend. Precision Students do not have to join RMVR nor take the otherwise requisite race physical. It’s a great way to explore if vintage racing has an appeal to you. Download the Precision Driving packet. Please Note: As a Precision Student, you won’t be allowed to participate in the wheel-to-wheel practice races on Sunday but all Sunday classroom curriculums and instruction is included.
Instruction will be identical for both types of participants — Competition or Precision. The RMVR Annual Spring Drivers’ School is an excellent opportunity to learn the skills of automobile racing and car control. The School offers you an opportunity to do so in environment that is both exciting and safe. With virtually one-on-one instruction from our capable instructors, you will be introduced and welcomed into the world of our chosen passion—Vintage Racing.
